Bellefield Hall

Bellefield Hall is located behind the Cathedral of Learning and Heinz Chapel and is home to several Pitt departments, including the Music Department. It is a public building, featuring an indoor swimming pool, gym, and fitness center. There are various classrooms and one large auditorium with a maximum capacity of 676 attendees that can be used for small to mid-sized meetings, events, lectures, or conferences.

Benedum Hall

Benedum Hall is located on the corner of O’Hara Street and Thackeray Avenue and home to the Swanson School of Engineering and Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation. The building underwent a recent renovation to employ green features. Benedum is an academic building that features numerous offices, labs, conference and seminar rooms, one large auditorium that can hold up to 528 attendees, and small to mid-sized classrooms that can hold between 32 to 219 attendees. Spaces within this building can be used to accommodate medium to large conferences and events.

Chevron Science Center

Chevron Science Center is located off of University Drive A behind Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and is home to the Department of Chemistry. The building has three auditoriums that can hold between 130 to 270 people, and classrooms that can hold between 40 to 60 people. Spaces within this building can accommodate small conferences and events on campus.

David Lawrence Hall

David L. Lawrence Hall is located off of Forbes Avenue, behind the Schenley Quadrangle. Lawrence Hall is connected to Wesley W. Posvar Hall and can be accessed from the bridge that connects to Panther Central and the Schenley Quadrangle across Forbes Avenue. This space has multiple classrooms that hold between 50 to 90 people and two auditoriums that can accommodate 326 and 571 attendees respectively. Spaces within David L. Lawrence can be used for large meetings, conferences, and presentations on campus.

Petersen Events Center

The Petersen Events Center is located off of Terrace Street. The Petersen, affectionately referred to as "The Pete" by the Pitt community, is the home court of both the men’s and women’s Panthers basketball teams. The Petersen  is also a local concert and commencement venue. Event spaces within this venue vary in size, accommodating between 40 to 2,225 people.

Wesley W. Posvar Hall

Wesley W. Posvar Hall is located between Schenley Drive and S. Bouquet Street on what used to be Forbes Field. The home plate is preserved on the ground floor lobby, or the Galleria, which can also be reserved along with many classrooms, auditoriums, and the Posvar Suites.*  The classrooms and auditoriums can hold anywhere between 8 to 126 people and the Galleria can hold up to 1,000 people. Spaces within Posvar Hall can accommodate booths and fairs, as well as larger receptions and conferences.   

*Note: Posvar Suites are managed by the Office of the Provost
